Seeder For Small Seeded Crops Mounted On Back Of Honda 300 4WD
I needed a seeder for small seeded crops like alfalfa or clover and wanted to use my ATV. I mounted a seed box from a Deere 13-ft. drill on the back of the Honda 300 4-WD and shaft-drive it with a power shaft that runs from one of the rear wheels on the ATV to the seeder. I attached an adaptor plate to the rear wheel. The adaptor is fitted with a 1-in. dia. shaft that hooks up to the seeder drive shaft. It takes less than 10 min. to mount the seeder. It was too heavy for the back rack so I added car shocks with helper springs around them to support it, anchoring the shocks on the frame of the AN. When you're done seeding, you just unhook the powershaft and raise it up out of the way for transport. (Richard C. Green, Rt 3, Box 231, Memphis, Mo. 63555)
