Cub Cadets Plow Up 46 Acres
We spotted this photo in a recent issue of Red Power magazine, a quarterly magazine with stories about anything made by International Harvester (www.redpowermagazine.com). The photo was taken last fall by Steve Blunier on the Travis Schweizer farm near Rockford, Iowa. Schweizer invited folks to bring their Cub Cadets to his farm and participate in a "plow day." It was the sixth plow day sponsored by the Ihcubcadet.com website, which is an online resource devoted to Cub Cadet equipment manufactured exclusively by International Harvester. A total of 150 garden tractors showed up. They turned under a total of 46.2 acres of soybean stubble. The event also raised about $800 for the local rural volunteer fire department. "It drew a lot of interest. A lot of people driving by on a nearby highway stopped to look," says Schweizer.
