PTO Extender Permits U-Front Mounting SNOWBLOWERS Snowblowers 3-2-28 Who says you can't drive your tractor forward even though it's equipped with a pto-driven blower designed for rear mounting? Here's one way to do it - with a unique pto-extender kit manufactured by Ber-Vac Inc., of ThetfordMines, Quebec, Canada. It consists of a gear box to reverse rotation., and two pto shafts. The heavy duty, underslung frame adapts to 2 or 4 wheel drive tractors. The special hookup allows the front mounted blower to be raised and lowered hydraulically. Takes one man only a few minutes to mount or dismount the pto extender frame, says the manufacturer. Three models, depending on tractor size, are available for tractors from 35 hp and up. Since the snow blower itself doesn't have to be modified for the front mounted hookup, it can be operated in the conventional rear mount position whenever desired. Although designed for use with Ber-Vac's line of snow blowers, the pto-extender frame for "go forward" front mounting will readily adapt to other makes of snow blowers designed for 3 pt. hitch rear mounting. In addition to snow blowers, the pto extender and front 3 pt. hitch could possibly be adapted for front mounting other pto-driven equipment.
