Corn Crib Chicken Coop
“We turned an old corn crib into an excellent chicken coop,” says Nick Creveling, Cedar Springs, Mich.
Four separate wired pens were built onto the side of the crib and the inside of the crib can be sectioned off as well to match the pens.
“The crib is ideal because it has openings for good ventilation and yet there’s plenty of protection from bad weather. Both ends of the crib open up for easy cleanout. Small doors on the back side make for easy feeding without going inside. Nest boxes mount inside, facing the center aisle, so it’s easy to retrieve eggs.”
