Battery-Powered Appliances
Although geared to the Amish and other Plain People groups, many others might be interested in these household appliances that don’t have to be plugged in since they run on power tool batteries. That lets you use them on remote farms, cabins, boats, or anywhere else you don’t have access to electricity. Power inverters are not required.

Cordless Blender
This multi-purpose blender can be powered by Dewalt, Milwaukee or Makita batteries. Can be used for blending, pureeing, and ice crushing. Sells for $495 (not including battery) and comes with a 1-year warranty.

Steam Iron, Mixer
Steam iron requires 2 DeWalt flex volt batteries (not included). Gets hot in seconds and works like a normal iron. Sells for $599.
  The 6-qt. mixer requires 1 DeWalt flex volt battery and includes a dough hook, beater, and wire whisk. Other attachments available. Sells for $699.

Automatic Washing Machine
This Fisher Manufacturing washer can be powered by 2 12ah power tool batteries, which will do 3 to 4 loads per charge. There are 3 water and temperature settings and bleach and fabric softener settings with 3.3 cu.ft. of space in drum.
