Simple Tool Keeps Cords In Place
Nick Barrett was frustrated by his phone charging cord slipping off his nightstand and out of his reach. Unable to find a solution, he invented his own.
CordBrick is a non-adhesive, weighted cord holder made from silicone rubber (outside) and carbon steel (inside). It’s 2.30 in. long, 1.35 in. high, and .85 in. wide and weighs 3 oz. There are two spots on the top and bottom to hold cords (four total), and the ends can hold a phone as a stand or be used for cord wrapping. It’s designed to fit any cord used for phone charging.
Attendees of the 2023 NRF Consumer Product Showcase voted CordBrick the second-place winner in the “Coolest Product” contest.
Keeping cords from falling behind tables and nightstands or onto the floor, becoming a tripping hazard, can be especially beneficial for seniors.
The majority of reviewers on the company website rate CordBrick 5 out of 5 stars. C. Stearn said in January 2023, “Handy cord holder, no more loose cables. I like that there’s no sticky adhesive. Colorful for travel, so I can’t leave it behind.”
CordBrick is available on the company website and Amazon. It sells for $14.97 plus S&H. Discounts are available and rise as the quantity purchased increases.
