First Of Its Kind Side-Mount Backhoe
"So far as we know it's the first side-mount backhoe ever built for farm tractors," says Chris Heavilin, of MoTrim, Inc., about the company's new side-mount backhoe for cleaning irrigation and roadside ditches.
The backhoe has a reach of 18 ft. and swings a full 180? forward and back. Three hydraulic cylinders on the boom raise and lower the arm and control the bucket. Two additional cylinders positioned under the frame swing the arm back and forth.
The bucket can be removed in minutes and replaced with the company's hydraulic rotary mower, which attaches with 4 bolts.
Sells for $22,000, including a 60-in. mower.
