Clamp Makes Hoof Work Easy LIVESTOCK Dairy (17) 15-5-23 A leg clamp that makes hoof work easier was on display in New Zealand, shown by a Dutch distributor who brought the clamp over from Holland, where it's widely used. It fits over the cow's leg, just above the knee joint. A U-shaped fitting is tightened down onto the tendon at the back of the leg, immobilizing the leg and causing the animal to docilely hold up its hoof. "When the clamp is on, he can't kick.
