Bunk Silo Converted Into Farm Building

When Robert Johnson stopped using his 40 by 110-ft. bunker silo for silage, it struck the Minnehaha, S. Dak., farmer that it wouldn't take much to turn the walls of the unused structure into an enclosed building.

He built up the walls and extended them out one end. He used the building to store equipment and big round bales.

He extended the sidewalls up to 16 ft., building on top of the concrete silo walls. The building is fitted with standard wood trusses. There's a bifold door on the open end.
