Heavy-Duty Corn Processor For Forage Harvesters
Farmers harvesting corn, hay or other forages with their Dion-Ag Scorpions or John Deere 2430 harvesters now have the option to easily install a more robust kernel processor.
“Our TST 360 is used mostly in the dairy industry,” says Mike Brown, Sales Manager. “You can chop corn longer and crush up the kernels and pieces of cobb for more effective fiber plus improve digestibility.”
The drive pulleys remain the same size while the dynamically balanced rollers rotate at 3,900 rpm and are 6 and 10 in. for a 60 percent ratio. Rollers are also heat treated for durability and feature a unique geometric serration profile for efficient grain and stalk processing.
The installation or removal process of the kernel processor takes about 20 mins. Dion-Ag has “how to” videos posted on their website with step-by-step instructions for the task.
Rolls are produced locally and assembled and installed at the Quebec factory. Packages include the entire hardware kit and sell for $9,000 USD plus S&H.
Dion-Ag sells only through a dealer network which is listed on their site. Brown encourages those interested to contact their local dealer for more information.
