The new "slidehammer" tire tool features a sliding handle that extends from 3 ft., 10 in. out to 6 ft. A hardened steel foot fits against the tire bead and the force of the slidehammer forces the bead away from the rim. "It's faster than other bead breakers on the market and doesn't damage the tire sidewalls as can happen with a tractor loader," says Schlecht. The tool weighs 15 lbs.
