It consists simply of a 6-in. wide sweep that bolts to the frame just ahead of each row unit. The mounting shank can be easily adjusted up or down to adapt to existing conditions. "It gently moves crop residue, clods and trash off to the side without throwing clods or rocks the way conventional disc openers do, protecting drive chains, wheels and other moving parts. It leaves a moist soil surface and a clean path to plant in for better seed spacing and placement," says the manufacturer.
