The shaft (1/Z in. dia.) of individual sorting "Stix" is made of vinyl coated fiberglass to eliminate shattering and splinters. The paddle head (6 in.wide and 12 in. long) is made of high density polyethylene. "Key to its amazing effectiveness is its flexibility, and the visibility of the paddle to livestock of all ages.
