Sorting Paddle
"It's the best new livestock sorting tool since the electric prodùwhich it replaces," says the manufacturer of Paddle Stix, billed as "a safer, cheaper and more humane way to sort cattle, hogs or sheep."
The shaft (1/Z in. dia.) of individual sorting "Stix" is made of vinyl coated fiberglass to eliminate shattering and splinters. The paddle head (6 in.wide and 12 in. long) is made of high density polyethylene.
"Key to its amazing effectiveness is its flexibility, and the visibility of the paddle to livestock of all ages. You can pour BB's into the paddle for more noise," the manufacturer points out,
Available with 42 or 48 in. shafts, the Paddle Stix sell for $12.50 each.
