Power Assist For Vacuum Wagons
"It lets you load thick, heavy sludge that your vacuum wagon alone can't handle - and does it without any agitation or backwashing," says Phil Ruyle, inventor of the new Honeysuckle "power assist."
Vacuum from the tank pulls heavy sludge to the input end where an auger, operating in an air-tight tube, gives it a boost to move it into the wagon. "This is not an ordinary grain auger. It's air tight and special built to work in conjunction with a vacuum to move thick, heavy sludge," explains Ruyle. "The Honeysuckle draws solids off the bottom, allowing you to get a uniform mix of liquid and sludge in each load without pumps, chemicals or agitation.
"We've successfully tested the Honeysuckle in pits where the solids were so thick that high pressure agitating and loading pumps would no longer prime. In one case, a farmer was pumping with a new 3,350 gal. vacuum wagon. After removing everything the wagon could, there remained 4 ft. of solid material. In an 8 hr. period, using the Honeysuckle, he was able to remove another 3,550 gals. of material, and the unit was
still pumping when we left," says Ruyle.
Works with any vacuum wagon with 4 to 6 in. inlet hose. A Honeysuckle unit for slurry tanks, including those with "impossible" cases of sludge buildup, is also available.
Sells for $1,995.
