He Added Extra Axle To 1976 GMC 2500 4-WD
✖ |
I've always had trouble operating pickups under heavy load. The rear end almost drags on the ground. Duals are a possible answer but I wanted a narrower tracked vehicle. So to solve the problem, I added a 3-ft. section and an extra axle to the back of my 1976 GMC 2500 4-WD. Then I built a flatbed body 11 ft. long with a steel head-board and wooden side boards. Now it doesn't squat down under heavy load. Does everything I ask it to. (Ray Hoxsie, P.O. Box 355, Westerly Rd., Pawcatuck, Conn. 02891 ph 860 599-5363 or 401 596-2829).
