"No-Spill" Telescoping Downspout GRAIN HANDLING Wagons (63E) 21-5-39 You can direct the flow of grain, seed, or fertilizer out of any auger-equipped cart with this plastic telescoping downspout that bolts onto any existing auger, says Pacific Harvest Grain & Supply, Inc., Cornelius, Ore.
The downspout is available in two models - a 2-section unit that extends to 7 1/2 ft., and a 3-section unit that extends to 11 ft. Both models fully retract to a 4 ft. 8 in. length. A built-in handle lets you slide the downspout out to the distance you want. A length of flexible tubing attaches the downspout to the auger's existing downspout and is secured by a chain or strap.
"It won't dent, bend, or break, and it'll outlast stainless steel or fiberglass down spouts by 5 to 10 years," says inventor Jim Spickelmire. "Even if you beat on it with a hammer it'll still spring back into shape."
The 2-section unit sells for $160 plus S&H; the 3-section unit sells for $210 plus S&H.
