Hassle-Free Fence Posts Made From Recycled Plastic
The grey colored posts measure 5 in. in diameter by 8 ft. long and weigh about 40 lbs. apiece.
"They won't break, crack, or rot and you don't have to paint them. They're heavier and harder than cedar or pressure-treated posts and a lot more durable," says Robert Bilger. "They can be used in all soil types. You can cut, staple, and nail them just like wood. In fact, they hold nails and staples better than conventional wooden fence posts. Another advantage is that they're self-insulating which makes them ideal for electric fencing. However, we don't recommend using them as anchor posts because they're not as rigid vertically as wood and could bend under pressure."
The posts sell for $8 apiece (Canadian).
