Wooden Bench Converts To Picnic Table FARM HOME Furniture 22-1-37 "You can convert a pair of my wood benches into a nice looking picnic table," says inventor Irvin Dierking. The 6-ft. long benches have backrests. Flipping the backrest forward 90 degrees results in half a picnic table. Put the two benches together and you have a complete table with a 24-in. wide top. The benches are sold "knocked down" ready to be screwed together. A single bench sells for $75 (untreated wood) or $85 (treated wood).
