Handy Push-Type Tree Pruner MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT Miscellaneous 22-2-27 "It's a lot easier to use than rope-type pruners," says the manufacturer of these new pruning shears that cut by pushing on a rod in the handle, reaching branches as high as 15 ft. off the ground.
E Z Prune aluminum pruners feature dual hydraulic cylinders. The small piston in the handle is coupled to a large piston on the cutting shears, producing a 20:1 mechanical advantage for pruning limbs up to 1 1/2 in. thick.
Lopping shears come in 32 and 40 in. lengths and sell for $140 and $150, respectively. Pruners come in 56, 80 and 104-in. lengths and sell for $160, $180 and $190, respectively.
