Heating Pad Made From Grain FARM HOME Kitchen 25-2-31 For people who don't like using heating pads, here's a way to use your own grain to fight aches and pains. All you need is an old sock and some grain (small grains work better that corn and beans).
Just fill a tube sock about 3/4's full of grain and tie a knot in the end. Put it in a microwave for about two minutes per side and then lay the heated up warmer on your neck, back, or other sore spot. You can wrap it in a towel to retain the heat longer.
You can also put the warmer in a childs bed to keep feet warm. It's safe because there's no electricity involved and it'll stay warm for an hour or more. (Paula Vogelgesang in Tri-State Neighbor)
