Space-Age Tractor Sports High-Tech Styling TRACTORS New Tractors 25-3-26 Merlo SPA, and Italian manufacturer, Merlo, has been producing telescoping loaders since 1982.
The company recently redesigned their basic loader, adding 3-point hitches, power-take-offs and hydraulic ports in order to create a new general-purpose farm tractor. It was introduced at this year's SIMA.
They call their new machine "the Farmer". The tractor comes in several versions, called Family Farmer, Multi Farmer and Turbo Farmer.
A number of different sizes and styles of telescoping loaders are available on all models. Hydrostatic transmissions are standard. The Family Farmer and Turbo Farmer come with a 108 hp 4-cylinder Perkins turbo diesel. The Multi Farmer has a 114 hp 4-cylinder diesel engine.
Cab styling, which allows the operator to see nearly 360 degrees with only minor obstructions, gives these tractors a distinctive look.
