Switch Extension For Tiny Tots
'Even the shortest kid will be able to turn on his or her own light with the new "Doflicky" switch extension, developed by Jerry Blake, Dannebrog, Neb.
The 18 in. rod extends down close enough to the floor to allow little ones to reach up and control the on-off light switch.
"It saves steps for parents because they don't have to run in to turn the light on or off and saves electricity because the light won't be on so much," says Blake.
Just one screw attaches the unit to any conventional light switch. The bottom screw in the switch plate is removed and the screw on the Doflicky inserted. When the child is tall enough to reach the light, the unit can easily be removed.
The Doflicky sells for $2.65, post-age included.
