"Grazing Muzzle" For Horses
The new muzzle has neoprene padding and a built-in halter. A small opening at the bottom allows horses a limited amount of grass, but unlimited access to water. The lightweight muzzle resists rubbing and chafing and won't rot. It can also be used as a training tool to discourage bad habits such as nipping and cribbing.
The muzzle utilizes a velcro breakaway system that's designed to break away if the horse become entangled. The system will pull apart if a horse panics and struggles to free itself, which greatly reduces the risk of injury to the horse.
Available in five sizes. Sells for $59.95 plus S&H.
A standard grazing muzzle is also available that's designed to be used with a leather or breakaway halter. Sells for $49.95 plus S&H.
The company also offers cribbing muzzles that allows the horse to eat and drink while at the same time preventing it from chewing on wood, blankets, and other objects. It comes with four adjustable straps that loop over the noseband and chin strap of a leather or breakaway halter. The horse eats through an aluminum grill at the bottom of the unit. The straps are equipped with hook-and-loop closures that will pull apart if a horse struggles to free himself in an emergency. One size fits most horses.
Sells for $49.95 plus S&H.
