"Milk Jug" Fly Trap
You can turn ordinary 1-gal. plastic milk jugs into insecticide-free fly traps, says Farnam Horse Products, Phoenix, Arizona.
The Milk Jugg Trap can trap more than 35,000 flies at a time, says the company.
The trap includes a reusable trapping device that fits on top of a standard-sized 1-gal. plastic milk jug, plus a yellow-colored fly attractant. You fill the jug about half full with water, add the fly attractant, and put the black and yellow trapping device on top. Flies are drawn to the attractant and enter the jug through a baffle. Once inside the flies can't find their way back out.
The trap can be set on the ground or hung up in a barn, stable, corral or back yard. It's not recommended for indoor home use.
It's sold in twin packs containing two trapping devices and two containers of attractant. Sells for $12.50 plus S&H.
