Stabilizer Outrigger For Big Grain Augers
First on the market with a stabilizer "outrigger" kit for large grain augers is Luff Land Industries, Bates City, Mo.Designed to help prevent upsets due to wind or uneven terrain, it's being offered as an optional accessory on the company's line of Jet-Flow grain augers. "We recommend that it be used on augers over 47 feet, especially those being used on sloping or uneven ground," says Andy Luff, sales manager.
"The Stabilizer" adds 4 ft. of added stability to each side of the auger. It folds and unfolds manually and doesn't interfere with maneuverability of the auger, Luff points out. "It'll be available this spring. We haven't put a price tag on it yet."
