Quick-Drain Engine Oil Valve
More than 250,000 of the valves have been sold over the past year thanks to the fact that at least six major vehicle manufacturers have granted it "genuine part" status.
The ball valve drainage plug screws into the oil pan in place of the original oil plug. To empty your engine oil you simply turn the valve with your fingers. No need to get any hot oil on your hand.
The ball joint in the valve is the same type used in pressurized gas applications. The entire assembly is made out of forged brass and stainless steel.
The drain valve extends only 1/2 in. more than the standard plug so no ground clearance is lost. There is also no chance of engine vibration causing the valve to work loose since it's held closed by a spring loaded safety lock.
The valves sell for $21.95 to $31.95 depending on the type of vehicle.
