3-Way Garden Tractor Hitch
When Larry Johnson of Ontario, N.Y., bought an Ariens GT 18 hp garden tractor, it was built to take Cat. 0 3-pt. hitch attachments. Instead of using the optional hitch, he builtáhis ownáso he could use the attachments he already owned which are the universal garden tractor type that attach with one pin.
The hitch has an adjustable linkage that connects it to the tractor hydraulic lift arms that give it tilt or a different working height.
He built an adapter to convertáthe hitch to aá3-pt. type by simplyáusing two pins. This adapter is a fast hitch type. It can also be fitted with a ball hitch adapter that attaches with one pin to pull trailers.
Other attachments with simple pin hitches simply hitch to the drawbar.
