Grain Weigher GRAIN HANDLING Miscellaneous 5-5-7 Vicon scored an industry "first" at the Royal with its new "Yield Per Field" combine grain weigher. It attaches directly to the combine discharge auger, with a control box in the combine cab which gives a direct reading of the weight of every tankful of grain, or grass seed. Any crop the combine can handle can be weighed accurately (to a ? .5%) by the weigher, according to Vicon. A running tally of the total amount of grain that has been taken off a field is also displayed on the digital control panel. In addition, at the touch of a button, the control converts high-moisture weight of grain to a bin-dry yield. Throughout the day, as moisture content of the crop changes, a new moisture value can be entered into the control box.
The device can be removed and used on high-speed augers to weigh grain going in or out of storage.
