Offset Hitch For Disc Mowers
This new offset hitch mounts on any disc mower and hooks up to the 3-pt. hitch on your tractor. It moves the mower over 10 in. so that you have use of the full width of the mower cutterbar, says LM Products, Cold Spring, Minn."The problem is that farmers are using bigger tractors to pull their disc mowers and the larger tires take up more cutting area," says Larry Ackerson. "The result is that 6 to 10 in. at the end of the cutter bar can't be used because it's directly behind the tire. This hitch gets the mower out from behind the tire. If your tractor has a quick hitch, you can hook up without getting off the tractor."
