Powered Wheelbarrow FARM SHOP Miscellaneous 30-3-29 We've seen a lot of powered carts come on the market in recent years but nothing that converts from a wheelbarrow to a flatbed hauler like this new rig. "It's amazing the uses people come up with," says John Fisher, a representative of Eurosystems.
A rope-start 3 1/2 hp Briggs and Stratton engine powers the forward and reverse drive. It can carry up to 220 lbs.
The hauler rides on two pneumatic front wheels and rear swivel caster wheels.
You just pull a spring-loaded pin to change from the 3 cu. ft. galvanized barrow bucket to the 32 by 23-in. platform that has 4-in. side rails with a front opening. A large square 6.3 cu. ft. plastic hopper can be fitted to the flatbed.
Sells for $1,199.
