The new Deutz-Fahr F320 was fitted with a special order cab intended for poultry producers, but its unique features looked good to others as well.
"We had ordered it with this cab for our poultry growers," said Jim Johnson, SAME Deutz-Fahr, North America. "We were surprised at the interest from people in other markets, such as the vineyard market."
The F320 with cab tops out at only 74 in. in height, yet the compact tractor offers a 3,000-lb. loader and a 7,900-lb., 3-pt. lift capacity. The 3-cylinder, 4-WD utility tractor has a 30/15 gear box with top speed of 25 mph. Air ride seat, disc brakes and electro-hydraulic pto and differential lock round it out.
The backswept cab is long on visibility, if short on room. Glass extends from the hood to well past the driver's head. A separate ROPS is mounted on the tractor, as the cab does not provide rollover protection. An optional carbon filter is available for the pressurized air system.
Base price lists at $50,000. Without the cab, it lists at $42,210.

The four models in the HD 2600 Series range from 62 to 83 hp (pto). Weights range from 6,217 to 6,945 lbs. on the 4-WD models. All are powered by Perkins 1104 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engines. They can be equipped with the SynchroShuttle 8 by 8 transmission for on-the-roll shifting or the synchronized 12 by 4 transmission with its in-line shift pattern.
