Harp-Builder Meets Mate Through FARM SHOW SPECIALTY/SERVICES After 35 years of opening mail from FARM SHOW readers I had a “first” recently when I was invited to the wedding of Christina Marshall and Steven Woodgate who met through the pages of this magazine We did a story on Christina 9 years ago Vol 29 No 2 about the business she started at just 16 years old making harps out of wood that she sawed herself on a sawmill her father built In addition to building harps she is a professional harpist “A year or so ago Steve saw a reprint of your article in one of your ‘best of’ issues and contacted me We started talking and long story short we’ll be married on Dec 28th 2013 ” Christina told me “I will be moving my business from Central Illinois to Sault Ste Marie Mich and will continue to operate my studio – just in a new location ” I was not able to attend the wedding but I wish them all the best in their new life together Christina is one of the most remarkable young women we’ve ever interviewed www ninasmusic com
