Big Holstein Steer Weighs Over 2,000 lbs.
✖ |
We’d like to sell this big Holstein steer. In early December it weighed over 2,000 lbs. and was about 5 ft., 7 in. tall. We bought him just over 4 years ago as a newborn calf from a sales barn. He’s halter broken and very tame. I thought we might train him to ride at parades and fairs but my husband is tired of feeding what amounts to a big pet. I had an appointment at our local locker but they would not take him because he was too big. Don’t know if he’s record size or not. (Jennifer Iler, ph 402 843-5829; nesunset@gpcom.net)
