Your Old Tractor Can Help Children With Cancer
You might think of your old tractor as nothing more than an “old clunker”, but to kids being helped by The Miracles of Mitch Foundation, that old tractor can help bring hope, strength and joy back into their lives.
All States Ag Parts has teamed up with The Miracles of Mitch Foundation to offer a convenient alternative to selling or trading in your tractor, combine or other ag equipment. All States Ag Parts will purchase donated tractors and other farm equipment with 100 percent of the proceeds of the sale going to the Miracles of Mitch Foundation.
“When you donate your tractor to the Miracles of Mitch Foundation, we take a piece of equipment that is often seen as a burden to many people and turn it into a wonderful experience for children with cancer,” said John Dyke, CEO of All States Ag Parts.
Dyke said, “The Foundation provides a lot of essential services to seriously ill children and their families. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of the program.
“In addition to doing a really good thing for these families, the donation is tax deductible for the farmer. The minimum tax deduction is $500 even if the value of the equipment is less than $500,” said Dyke. “On higher value equipment, you’ll receive a tax deduction for twice the amount of the purchase price. For example, if we buy your donated tractor for $1000, then you’ll get a $2000 tax deduction.”
The Miracles of Mitch Foundation assists families with financial needs, basic food needs, time away from the hospital and a camp for children with cancer and their siblings.
The MOMF was formed by Steve and Becky Chepokas in memory of their son Mitch. Since his passing in 2003, the MOMF has provided financial and quality-of-life support to families with children being treated for cancer. Before 9-year old Mitch Chepokos died from cancer, his dad made a pinky swear promise with him to continue to help children with cancer and their families by providing immediate needs support and unique family programs.

The Miracles of Mitch Foundation eases the financial and emotional impacts experienced by families during a very challenging time.
“Once All States Ag Parts receives a donated tractor or other equipment at one of our salvage yards, it hits the teardown shop. In the teardown shop, all the critical parts are taken off the machinery and inspected by skilled mechanics. Once the part passes inspection, it’s cleaned up, labeled and stored inside one of our warehouses until a farmer or repair shop needs it”, explained Dyke. “Our inspection process is extremely important. We want all of our parts to work when the farmer gets them installed. For those rare occasions when an inspected part does fail, we offer a 1-year replacement warranty on all of our used parts.”
The shells of torn-down tractors and combines are then moved into the salvage yard, where they remain until being sent to a metal recycling plant. All States recycles all of the unused metal parts, oil, anti-freeze, tires and other materials from every piece of equipment that goes through their yard.
“It’s not only good business, but when you serve an industry that relies on the earth’s resources, we need to do the best we can to conserve those resources,” said Dyke.
All States Ag Parts operates 7 salvage yards and one catalog/internet center in the United States. In addition to selling used tractor parts they also sell new aftermarket parts and rebuilt parts for all makes and models of tractors, combines, skid steers, planters, swathers and other ag equipment.
