Front-Mount Rock Picker Makes Big Jobs Easy ROCK PICKERS This handy new rock picker is designed to pick up big rocks in the field and then swing them over into a rock box on front of your tractor “It’s always with you when you need it and it’s never in the way ” says Tyler Hunstad a dealer/distributor for Ag Storm Equipment St Peter Minn The Rock Hawk bolts onto any rock box and works like a small crane It’s equipped with a self-tightening 3-claw grapple assembly on the end of a cable and is operated by a winch that runs off the tractor’s battery The winch is controlled by a 2-way switch mounted near the mast To pick up a rock you release the grapple assembly from the locked position then hit the switch to lower the grapple push the claws into place around the rock and lift Once the rock is high enough to clear the rock box you push a fold-down 2-ft long handle to rotate the mast 180 degrees and then lower the rock into the box “The winch is rated at 3 100 lbs so it can handle really big rocks The biggest rock we’ve ever lifted weighed about 1 400 lbs ” says Hunstad The unit bolts on with four 5-grade bolts The company supplies all necessary brackets and mounting assemblies for any rock box The Rock Hawk is available in green and black but can be custom painted to other colors It sells for $1 999 95 plus S&H The company is also introducing a rock box that dumps automatically from your tractor cab using a keyless fob An electric gear motor is used to tilt the Power Box up or down It’s available in 3 4 and 5-ft lengths “The Power Box has twice as much storage area as any other rock box on the market And it dumps automatically so you never have to get out off the tractor ” says Hunstad The price for the Power Box had not yet been determined at press time Contact: FARM SHOW Followup Ag Storm Equipment LLC 41062 Fort Rd St Peter Minn 56082 agstorm tyler@gmail com; www agstormequipment com or Tyler Hunstad 14129 473rd Ave Madelia Minn 56062 ph 507 381-5017; tyler hunstad@plantpioneer com
