Idea To Extend Battery Life During Winter
“Preparing tractor batteries for winter is a problem in the north country. I used to bring my equipment inside for winter but it didn’t seem to extend battery life. A friend finally gave me this advice: Make sure the batteries are fully charged in the fall on equipment that you’re not going to use during the winter. Then disconnect the ground wire. Leave the battery in place all winter. First thing in the spring, charge the battery before starting it up. It’ll be ready to go and the battery will get maximum life.
