Two Seater Bean Buggy
A "two-seater" bean buggy has been introduced by Distel Systems, LeSueur, Minn.
The Little Boy II has hydrostatic drive and is powered by a 9 hp electric start engine.
"We call it the Ma and Pa bean buggy," says Mike Lundon, manufacturer's representative. "It works great for those who farm 500 acres or so and can't find enough help to operate a three-seater bean buggy, but want more capacity than a single-seater. However, you can convert it to a single-seater by moving the seat, steering wheel, and controls, which are all mounted on one bracket, to the center of the rig. All you do is remove two bolts. You can adjust it for 30 to 40 in. row widths by loosening bolts and sliding the wheels in or out. It has power steering so you can steer it with one finger."
The rear wheel drive buggy is equipped with a 35-gal. polyethylene spray tank and a 12-volt electric spray pump with accumulator tank. A rock carrier is mounted under the engine.
Sells for $5,195.
