Bale Chopper-Shredder HAY & FORAGE HARVESTING Bale Handling (5) 8-3-23 New from England is the Meteor Chopper-Shredder for big round bales.
It handles round bales up to 5 ft. in dia., or you can load it with 15-20 small rectangular bales. A key feature is that the back half of the unit folds down hydraulically for easy loading of big bales.
The pto-powered base table has 45 serrated fixed blades and 36 moving blades to chop up the bale. Nine baffles on the edge of the table funnel the straw to the throw-out chutes where the straw shoots out.
Chopped material can be simultaneously blown out on both sides of the machine. Or, either chute can be closed for spreading to one side only.
The company is looking for a U.S. manufacturer or importer. Sells for right at $4,200.
