Here goes: The factory tailgate plastic aerodynamic lip was/is good at holding water. (Aerodynamics, who really knows?) When you drop the tailgate the water typically splashes all over your feet. Our replacement tailgate protector is flat, no more splash problem. We’re offering a better mousetrap.
When the tailgate is lowered, that edge is very susceptible to whamming into a trailer jack. (Ask us how we know.) Our tailgate protector clips over the vertical edge and wraps it, no more problem. (Hey, our vertical edge also covers existing dents.) We’re offering a better mousetrap.
