“Gasser” Pumps Exhaust To Kill Rodents
“Our patented, cart-mounted Rascal Eradicator uses carbon monoxide to kill gophers, prairie dogs and moles quickly and safely. It’s simple to use and works fast,” says Underground Pest Control System’s Bill Enderson, Fort Lupton, Colo.
The 4-wheeled machine has two 25-ft. hoses and an easy-start Briggs & Stratton 4-cycle gas engine. Place the hose into the open hole, pack to seal the burrow, and start the engine. The carbon monoxide quietly puts the animal to sleep as it fills the burrow.
“It doesn’t use poisons that can kill other animals and pets, and it doesn’t cause explosions that can disturb large areas of land,” says Enderson.
The cart makes it easy to move from hole to hole, and with both hoses you can easily cover a 50-ft. radius. “The machine has been field-tested for more than 2 years and is built to last. It costs less than $1 per hour to operate,” says Enderson.
The Rascal Eradicator sells for $2,600 plus S&H. Two 2019 demo units with low hours sell for $300 to $400 less. “Ask about our current free upgrade to 50-ft. long hoses,” says Enderson.
