The Weed Zapper is catching on with both organic and conventional farmers. The amazing machine kills weeds in minutes, exploding weed cells from top to root tip with an electric charge.
The Weed Zapper, produced by Old School Manufacturing (OSM), is owned by two brothers and their dad Tony.
Safety features for the high voltage Weed Zapper as well as operator monitoring and controllability are key. From a combined total of 55 years of commercial electrical experience the Kroegers put on their electrician hats. They added 4 safety systems, as well as a front mounted boom. A front mounted boom decreases operator fatigue, encourages better visibility, adds a safer operation, and gives the operator better ability to contact weeds closer to the crop canopy.
OSM also offers four different Weed Zapper models, as well as a Universal Front 3-Point Hitch, Complete Hydraulic Hose assemblies for tractor installation, and a Sectional Boom Height Control to help in uneven fields.
