Brian Murphy put over 1 million miles on his 2007 Nissan Frontier and was rewarded recently by Nissan with a brand new 2020 Nissan Frontier. Murphy is a delivery driver for a company in Chicago and drives an average of 77,000 miles a year. He says the original clutch on the 5-speed manual lasted 801,000 miles. The timing chain was replaced at 700,000 miles, and both the alternator and radiator at 450,000 miles. The original 4-cylinder engine and transmission still power the vehicle.
Nissan plans to display Murphy’s truck at the plant in Smyrna, Tenn., where it was built. Murphy’s new Frontier has a V-6 engine and a King Cab with 4-WD.
