Replacement Belts For Big Balers
✖ |
"So far as we know, we're the only company offering 3-ply replacement belting for big round balers which is rubber covered on both sides to overcome difficult-to-start baling problems," reports a spokesman for the Morrison Co., Anthony, Kan. "We supply three-ply baler belting to a few original manufacturers of big balers. Most manufacturers, however, use only two-ply belting."
To speed delivery, the firm invites interested farmers to "call collect." Orders are processed and shipped the same day, or at the latest in a day or two, a spokesman points out.
Cost of 3-ply rubber covered replacement belting varies, depending on make and model. For a Vermeer 605A baler, for example, the 4 in. wide top belt cut to length with slipper hooks attached to both ends, sells for $51.70, and the 10 in. wide belt for $118.36. The bottom belt for the same machine (60 x 120 in.) sells for $324. All bottom belts are made with "Minet" hinge type lace.
Morrison also offers a kit for replacing 60 in. wide bottom belting with stainless steel hooks, belt-lacing kits, and a "high grip" coating to help prevent belt slippage.
