Back in 2016, Geno’s Garage was looking for a dash replacement for a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Coincidentally, so was an engineer at the small American plastics company that now makes the dash for them. They exchanged notes, made a prototype, measured twice and cut once, and came up with a mold for the dash.
To improve on the original dashboard, the replacement from Geno’s Garage is formed from ABS plastic for more durability and to help prevent cracking. However, their plastic vendor is a small business and these only come in one color: black.
This direct replacement dash features five molded-in plastic dash-to-cowl reinforcements to help keep the screws from pulling through the dash mounting tabs. Geno’s Garage also includes detailed installation instructions that are tried and true by their own tech staff.
