King Size Fence Roller Holds 23 Miles Of Wire
✖ |
If you've got big country to fence in a hurry, you'll like this new wire roller that stores more than 23 miles of smooth wire (or 12 miles of barbed wire) for quick retrieval, or to help fence pastures or harvested ground for winter grazing.
"No more wasted time changing spools after a few miles of wire and no more ruined axle gears from spooling with a pickup," says manufacturer Tom Thrall, Felt, Okla. The wire roller has it's own 8-hp. Briggs and Stratton engine channelled through a 2-speed gear reduction drive to the spool. Because the loaded wire spool weighs nearly 4,000 lbs., the heavy-duty wire roller frame is outfitted with 15-in. tires. The spool mounts permanently on the frame. A split spool is available for keeping smooth and barbed wire separate.
The wire roller sells for $1,450.
