The HyReach Clipper from Precision Manufacturing is even handier with the addition of CLAMPit. The add-on to the tree shears lets the operator grip a tree or limb before cutting it. Once it has been cut, CLAMPit can be used to lay the tree or limb safely on the ground for later cleanup.
It reduces the risk of a tree or branch falling and causing damage or injury. Clamping is controlled from inside the cab with a wireless remote or with joystick controls if the tractor is equipped with electrical pin options.
CLAMPit has a 200-lb. load limit, which equates to a 5 ft. length of 9-in. dia. red oak or a 7 ft. length of 9-in. dia. cedar. The device has hardened T1 clamping blades and a backstop to prevent the tree from falling back.
CLAMPit is priced at $2,695. It can be added to existing ED HyReach Clippers, the older XD series, or ordered with new ED models.
