D-Lock tool holders can hold securely in place shovels and other tools on all types of vehicles. Made in the U.S. by Jones Manufacturing Inc., they’re a smaller version of the company’s J-Lock load lock holders that semi drivers use to secure load locks on the back of their cabs.
“There’s nothing like this out there,” says Kiley Faggionato, owner of Jones Manufacturing. “Tools clamp in the D-Lock, and there’s a bar to keep them in place.”
The tool racks accommodate all types of long-handled tools, such as shovels, rakes, brooms, sledgehammers, hoes, pitchforks, post-hole diggers, and come-alongs.
Besides preventing tools from moving, the system helps deter theft.
Made locally in Ohio, the locking springs and parts are powder-coated and durable. Different configurations, starting with 2-tool holders ($53.90 plus S&H), make the D-Lock versatile to work on equipment trailers, dump trucks, toolbox tops, and other equipment.
“They’ve been available for about 15 years, so they’re well tested,” Faggionato says. Jones Manufacturing sells the holders and other products through its website, has partnered with several OEM dealers, and welcomes inquiries from dealers.
