Plastic Lid Helps Preserve Paint

The included ring on the Sealz-it fits into a reservoir on the top of your paint can when the lid is removed, eliminating the problem of a stuck-on lid. The cover then sits on top of the ring between uses, forming a gentle vacuum in the can. This “seal” can keep paint fresh for 12 mos. or more, and cans are stackable when the Sealz-it is in place.
“I designed this product after moving into our new home, and my wife asked me to do some wall patching which required touch-up painting,” says founder Dave Fegel. “It was a nightmare trying to get the old cans opened. It was after this that I came up with the Sealz-it.”
The Sealz-it is an excellent option for anyone who plans to use the same can of paint repeatedly. Says Fegel, “Every time you open a can of paint after using the Sealz-it, it’s like opening a new can of paint. You don’t have old sticky paint on the lid. The paint is fresh, and the lid is like new.”
Another benefit is that the Sealz-it is environmentally friendly, as it will reduce the 10 to 20 percent of paint currently wasted per can.
Sealz-it is gaining recognition from customers. In 2023, it was the First Place Winner of the Retailer’s Choice Award at the National Hardware Convention in Las Vegas.
