Mini Round Balers Built To Last
✖ |
Joel Dufour is so sold on CAEB mini round balers that he sells them. He’s been using one since 2001. Dufour’s Earth Tools dealership specializes in walk-behind tractors and implements but also carries the Mountainpress 550 TML. It’s a tow-behind with its own gas engine designed for use behind anything from small tractors to quads, a golf cart or even a horse.
“CAEB produces very high-quality equipment that’s simple enough that most people can figure out how to operate them on their own,” says Dufour. “The company is great to work with and really backs up their products. They aren’t a fly-by-night that can’t provide support.”
The 40-year-old Italian company’s introduction of the 550 TML was a new venture. Its other walk-behind and tow-behind balers were first offered in 1989.
“There was a learning curve for the company,” Dufour says. “The issue was the power connection between the engine and the hydraulic pump that drives the baler. They made the revisions needed on later models. The baler mechanism itself has been perfect on all their balers.”
CAEB balers are available in various styles, including the PTO-powered 550 TPL towed to the side of a small tractor. The 550 TPC-S is carried on a tractor’s 3-pt. hitch or can be towed directly behind the tractor. Walk-behind units are available in wheeled and track versions. The 550 e-TML has its own 48-volt, 5-kW electric motor. It can be powered by a standard tractor equipped with an auxiliary generator, a fully electric tractor or a hybrid tractor.
The 550 TML and other walk-behind CAEB balers are available in the U.S. and Canada from Earth Tools. They and other CAEB balers can also be ordered directly from the company. Contact either for pricing.
