Cloverleaf Mower Reaches Under Fences
"It mows under and around nearly any obstacle on the farm," says Frank Brendis about his new Row Mow "cloverleaf" mower with a unique three-headed mower deck that rotates 360?.The cloverleaf deck mounts on a telescoping arm that reaches out as far as 5 3/4 ft. to the side. The three 24-in. dia. belt-driven mower decks cluster around a central gearbox. As the mower deck pivots around obstacles, the single drive belt - that drives all time blades at once - simply slips around the drive pulley.
The mower arm flexes up and down 30? for mowing ditches and slopes. It requires a 16 to 50 hp. tractor with a Cat I or II 3-pt. and a 540 pto. Cutting height can be adjusted from 1 1/2 to 4 in. in height. The mower deck rides on three "anti-scalp" rollers. Because the mower decks are arranged proportionally, cutting width re-mains at a constant 48 in. no matter how the decks are turned.
Sells for $2,495.
